ABSTRACT
Annular elastolytic giant cell granuloma is a rare granulomatous disorder, characterized by annular, erythematous, centrally hypopigmented and/or atrophic plaques, usually localized on sun-exposed areas. The etiopathogenesis of the disease remains unknown, however; chronic actinic injury has been implicated as a causative factor. The typical histopathological findings are elastolysis and elastophagocytosis accompanied by multinuclear giant cells. Herein, we describe a case with annular elastolytic giant cell granuloma and discuss the clinical and histopathological differential diagnosis.
