ABSTRACT
Hamartoma is the non-neoplastic proliferation of normal tissue components and cells in the region involved. Cutaneous hamartomas have been classified into four groups in our review, based on eccrine, apocrine, follicular and sebaceous differentiation. Eccrine cutaneous hamartomas involve the eccrine nevus, eccrine angiomatous hamartoma, porokeratotic eccrine ostial and dermal duct nevus. Apocrine cutaneous hamartomas involve the apocrine nevus and supernumerary nipples. Follicular cutaneous hamartomas involve the basaloid follicular hamartoma, hair follicle nevus, linear unilateral basal cell nevus, neurofollicular hamartoma, nevus comedonicus, and nevus sebaceous. Sebaceous cutaneous hamartomas involve the folliculo-sebaceous cystic hamartoma, Fordyce spots and nevus sebaceous.
